As a youngster I used to frequent the now infamous Vyner street galleries every first Thursday of every month. Indeed many here at thumbnut still do when in London. On that date galleries open their doors late to promote their exhibitions and offer refreshments to entice the culture curious in. Stacked with row upon row of small galleries, open studios, craft sales and art students with portfolios under their arms, it’s a vibrant part of East London.
